We’re here to make a difference

Brilliant Bamboo is here to make a difference to the planet, and for the people in our community, and we’re funded on a project-to-project basis to develop our work and our brown spaces into spaces for nature and creativity.

Now we have our Brilliant Bamboo Brownfield Parklet on Boothen Road in Stoke (town), and we’ve been seeing the interest from those who are attending and hear their ideas too for our site. There are some things that we need to do that sit outside of the funds we have through projects.

We’d love your help to realise the potential of our Brownfield Parklet in the heart of Stoke. Here is a list of things we need, and this is a way to help, which is either donating materials or money so we can get to work or buy them for us – you can arrange delivery with us!

Items include:
Litter pickers
Two sets of large shelves for our store.
Materials to help with the rainwater harvesting.
Fruit trees and other plants not currently in the site currently.
Workbenches for our community builds.
Benches or outdoor furniture (all weather).
Items to create raised beds suggested by our visitors so far.
Solar festoon lighting.
Children’s activities: mud-kitchen or covered sandpit.
Composting waterless toilet and accessible cabin.
Solar panels, batteries and someone to install them.
Refurbished stretch tent or canvas for shade and water protection.
