Brilliant Botanicals: introducing the artists

Introducing the fantastic artists and collaborators we have the honour of working with for our 2025 Brilliant Botanicals project, we’re hoping to develop more.

Rob Fenton:

Rob Fenton is a Graphic Artist and Muralist whose passion lies in revitalising public spaces through his vibrant creations. With a keen eye for design and a deep understanding of the power of art in fostering community engagement, Rob is dedicated to contributing to the regeneration of our social spaces.

His artwork serves as a catalyst for social change and urban renewal. Rob’s murals breathe new life into neglected walls, transforming them into dynamic canvases that tell stories, provoke emotions, and spark conversations. Whether he’s depicting local history, celebrating cultural diversity, or advocating for social justice, each of Rob’s pieces carries a powerful message that resonates with the surrounding community.

Rob’s commitment to the public realm extends beyond his artistic practice. He actively collaborates with local organisations, government agencies, and community members to identify spaces in need of revitalisation and to ensure that his artwork reflects the unique identity and aspirations of each neighbourhood.

Reiko Kaneko:

Working between London and Stoke-on-Trent, Reiko Kaneko’s practice spans multiple disciplines within ceramics, seamlessly blending industrial precision with organic imperfection. She works at various scales in a range of typologies, designing both products for manufacture and bespoke pieces for commissioned projects. The focus of her working practice is on mastery of material and form. She is known for her collaborations with high-end restaurants, including The Fat Duck, where she creates refined, functional tableware. At the same time, she embraces wabi-sabi principles, exploring Kintsugi and the beauty of imperfection. Her work with the London Flower School and her experimentation with the pâte-sur-pâte technique further showcase her versatility.

With a deep interest in creativity and education, Reiko balances commercial projects with teaching, continuously pushing the boundaries of material, form, and concept, focusing on developing the skills needed to be a thoughtful and productive creative practitioner.

Brilliant Bamboo Mural will be her first public wall mural and she will be working with her signature brushwork on a large scale.
